Transforming IBM i Development: Leveraging Visual Studio Code & Azure
Join us to explore how Northdoor can help combine Microsoft Azure, Arcad and Skytap to create a powerful tool for developing and deploying IBM i applications, leveraging the capabilities of Visual Studio Code (VS Code). Discover how together they enhance the IBM i development experience and facilitate seamless collaboration among developers.
In this webinar, we’ll cover:
- Arcad’s integration with VS Code and Azure to expose metadata, enabling developers to visualize the impact of their changes upfront.
- Leveraging Git for synchronous and efficient collaboration among developers, bridging the gap between traditional IBM i development tools like SEU or RDi.
- Arcad extensions for Code Quality/Security, impact analysis, smart build, and conversion to Free Form RPG, tailored for Azure-based IBM i development.
- Exciting opportunities for non-IBM i developers to contribute directly to IBM i projects, without the need for in-depth knowledge of IBM i specifics, while maintaining efficient oversight of changes.
- How Northdoor’s pedigree in both IBM i and Azure DevOps provide an ideal technology partner to help you on a modernisation journey.
- How Skytap creates a simple path to Azure for IBM i workloads to support easy dev and test environments.
- The benefits and agility of Skytap’s Cloud service for IBM i, allowing Development, Test and UAT environments to be deployed on demand, rapidly, and automatically, if required, without the cost, and delay, of expensive infrastructure.
